Ohmygoodlord, right????? I too almost fell out of my seat when I found out. You are not alone.
Is it any wonder that she and I became fast bloggy friends? Also, her husband and my husband have the same name. True story. Clearly it was meant to be.
So please, go read all about her crazy adventures in her 1884 house on her blog The Adventures of ArtsyNina.
Nina, as an equal-opportunity lover of old stuff, not only likes to buy old houses but also buys old things. And then she looks at all the adorable goodies she has just purchased and says "There is no way I'm going to be able to explain all of this away." So she puts it in her Etsy shop and then you and I get to ogle it and say things like "I've always wanted ceramic bull napkin rings. Give them to me now!"

(and I like your FB page!)
ReplyDeleteDid I mention that I really, really want to win this one? :-)
Well, of course you need ceramic bull napkin rings - I thought that everyone had them
ReplyDeleteActually, I just saw Dolphin salt and pepper shakers today and I instructed the kids that they were to bring Daddy to that store and show him when he starts talking about what to get for Momma. :-) The salt was the head and the pepper was the tail - I mean, who wouldn't love that?
On an off topic note, is your social bar at the bottom new? I don't remember seeing it last time but I just added that same one :-) I think I like they way you have the colors matching your site better though - I think I'll have to play with it further...

ReplyDeleteShoot me, now I WANT those bull ceramic napkin rings!!! Arrrrgh! I see what you mean by Artsy Nina's talent in finding diamonds in the rough!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of great houses in my great neighborhood -- College Hill, Ohio, part of the City of Cincinnati -- available for less than $40,000. Foreclosures, you know, and a fair amount of very old people moving to nursing homes, etc., after not having updated their homes in 50 years. Most of them are bungalow style homes. So if any fun creative people want to move here, come on over! On my street alone there is a fantastic house for sale for $141,000... and a cute foreclosure with a Florida room (rare in Cincinnati!) for $40,000. Wouldn't that be a great buy? Hmm?
ReplyDeleteHello I just found both you and Nina and liked you both. What an interesting story about her house! I found a sewing guide in French at a used bookstore, and of course I had to have it. This one looks equally cool!
ReplyDeletePick me!! (Just liked Nina's page)
ReplyDeletePick me!!! (Now waving arms and jumping up and down) (I have always liked your page. Like for years)
ReplyDeleteLOVE Nina. LOVE Camp Honeybelle! Great giveaway, girls!
