She's here. She's here. She's finally here!

I'm in that place. That place somewhere between giddy and delusional.  One minute I'm rejoicing in the incredible miracle I just participated in and the next I'm bemoaning the fact that I can't vacuum the living room.  See?

Giddy.

Delusional.

Mary Isabel, born on Friday, 6/22 at 8:52 a.m.  Our very most biggest baby at 8 lbs. 4 oz. and 22" long.

Homebirth success.

A full birth story complete with all the details you never knew you didn't want to know coming soon.  Until then, thank you for all your love and prayers and patience.  It's been a wild ride!

  11. Okay I am in trouble because I didn't tell you congratulations from Rob yet. Oops. And Isabelle is thrilled that the baby's middle name is Isabel. :) Thomas has no idea what is going on but I am sure he will want to slobber on her and poke at her when he gets to meet her.

  18. I am eagerly awaiting the birth story! I had been feeding June in the middle of the night and caught your update on Twitter that you had called the midwife. And then I stalked all of your internet homes as often as I could until she arrived! LOL

You really should have had a live webcam set up in your room or something so we all could have been in on the action. KIDDING!

    Good job, Mama. She's gorgeous.

  22. Congratulations!!! Yay for new little girl babes! And way to have a successful home birth. Yesterday was such a beautiful day to be born and it was St. Thomas More's feast day and the wonderful woman who birthed me was born 50 years ago yesterday. :) I hope you can rest well at home and ignore your vacuum for a good 6 weeks or 6 months.

  30. Aw so happy for you! Beautiful baby girl. Some quotes from my 5yr. old as he reads you blog with me. "Aw, look at her nose and her wonderful hat! She's so cute even dad would like her!" and, to his brother, "I just saw a spider man hat, with a mom in it!" ;)
