1) Totally true
2) Totally gonna happen. Mark my words.
3) Totally our annual family Valentine's day tradition, put off until today because...you know...see #1
Plain old black pants- Old Navy (the legs were a lot wider this morning, but we were running late, so I didn't have time to do unimportant things like measure and try on before I applied the leg-narrowing procedure. So, yes, more narrowing will have to occur and soon!)
Plain old black cami- insert your favorite store here
Geometric print tunic top- Wet Seal, a gift from my sweet step-mama last year. (I would never have been brave enough to buy this for myself, but I so love it. She is smart.)
Chandalier earrings- in black this time. Really, any danglies will do.
Black patent mary-jane HEELS (yes! And I didn't slip to my wintery death!)- Fioni via the always chic and fabulous Payless Shoesource
And since it promises to someday turn spring, at which point I will retire my fluffy dress coat of winterishness for the next 8 months or so, a photo of the Eskimo-ish goodness:
Edited to add- these sunglasses are Cynthia Rowley, newly acquired from TJMaxx as my old ones FINALLY broke and I could justify a new pair. Only $9.99 baby! I did have to try on every single pair in the store, but it was totally worth it. They have a good selection right now. Go gitcha some.
In parting, this-

I don't know karate, but I know cah-razy! |
You look great! I love your coat- what I can see of it anyway. That shirt is pretty fabulous, too.
ReplyDeleteI would never have bought the shirt myself. Thank goodness for other people's wisdom! And the coat- another gift. My uncle is a furrier (true story)...and well, you get the gist :)
DeleteThat sunglasses picture is kind of amazing. So artsy, so hipster!
ReplyDeleteHah! Really??? You know, all the cool kids are drivin' Toyota mini-vans these days ;)
DeleteThank you!
I was just thinking your blog needed a bit more husband photo-bombing. Loving the blouse and eskimo goodness. The club can't even handle you right now.
ReplyDeleteYou are gorgeous. That sunglasses/coat pic reminds of Audrey or Bo Derek. You and Bo have the same cheekbones. Google that, I'm not making it up. And I'm not that old either, I only know Bo from such films as Shawshank Redemption (she was on a poster) and Tommy Boy.
ReplyDeleteYou are too sweet, Jessica! And I. Love. Tommy Boy!
DeleteThe shoes are so awesome! And the earrings! I bought some red chandelier ones and haven't worn them yet. You're inspiring me. And the eskimo shot is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd cah-razy is pretty funny.
And did I get this right? Did you sew this morning before church?
Okay, yes. I did sew. BUT Mass doesn't start until 11 a.m. Soooooo, not really that awesome :)
DeleteSounds awesome to me, considering the number of kids you have!
DeleteI freakin love this outfit!!! super cute! And a girl can never own too many mary janes. you are really inspiring me to get behind my sewing machine and just do the leg thing already. But I'm a girl of the 90s and just can't bear to part with my flare!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI also hope you're saying karate like Ross does on Friends. Pretty please.
I'm loving those big sunglasses!! And the patent Mary Jane heels are great!
ReplyDeleteThe sunglasses! Just got those for $9.99 at TJMaxx as my old ones actually broke. They have a pretty great selection right now.
DeleteExcellent as usual!
ReplyDeletePayless recently??
Husband photobomb ~ great; your response ~ even better!
Tunics work on you tall people. I vow to never wear one again, unless I grow six inches taller ... or get pregnant.
ReplyDeleteLove the shirt - your step mom does have good taste!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have had Turn your back pack into a camera bag with dish clothes Day several times! I really need one of those pricey camera bag/purses...just can't really justify the cost though.
When I saw you in the sunglasses, I thought it was Cari! You are so cute, Dweej!
ReplyDeleteRocking the look! Totes! I'm so glad you braved the elements in heels, too! Makes ya feel all growed-up, amiright?
ReplyDeleteAlso, Jessica is ABSOLUTELY old enough to know who Bo Derek is....just don't ask me who Bo Derek is.....
Lovely outfit! The shirt and accessories are awesome! Gonna have to go get me some sunglasses ASAP!
ReplyDeleteLove it all. That outfit is positively bitchin and the pictures are fabulous. Top notch post as always.
ReplyDeletelove it all! You look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the space in the legs but it's hot where I live. Considering everything after following your blog for over a year, I have to say you look stunning.
ReplyDeletePatterned top - LOVE all the color!
ReplyDeleteDangling earrings - fabulous ear bling...sweet!!
Cah-razy karate chop - priceless!!
Happy Sunday!!
hahaha I should have added my karate shots into my post today. Karate and bumpage is very intimidating.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it makes me sad when I hear people's sunglasses break. I am weirdly attached to mine...
And, per usual, you look chic and wondrous!
So maybe next Sunday, when I'm trying pants on for Mass and am thinking they should be slimmer, you could just hop on a plane and fix em for me - kay? Great. Then you can photobomb my WIWS shot.
ReplyDeleteSunglasses pic? Straight up pimpin!
You look beautiful! And it looks like your husband is doing the Jolie leg. Cutting edge.
ReplyDeleteJolie Leg! Oh my gosh. That is fantastic.
DeleteThat shirt is so flattering and fun, good gift! I don't know how you do any alterations before Mass??! We are running around like crazy people!
ReplyDeleteThose sunglasses are so cute on you. And you always, always have to try them all on. Always.
I'm thinking Liv Tyler on the Eskimo shot? Rock star.
ReplyDeleteYou're lovely. I like your personality, funny and sweet.
