Checking in and some outtakes

So I'm totally jumping on that Pinteresty first-day-of-school photo bandwagon, but not before Cari makes my pictures all snazzy using her mad photoshop skillz. But I also can't wait until she's finished to post again because it will have been an entire week since I last talked to y'all and that just will not do.  No.  It will not do at all.

So, here I am.
First, and most importantly, thank you so muy muy muy mucho from the bottom of my heart, all of you, for coming to my heart's rescue after Thursday's ramble.  I can't believe how incredibly blessed we are to have you in our lives.  Thank you.

And now for a couple of the runner-up shots and outtakes from today's photo-snappin'-first-day-my-brain-is-now-mush extravaganza just to lighten things back up a little around here...

(I didn't tell them what to do for any of these shots.  Like brother like sister I guess....)

Can you see that they're holding hands?  Melt.

And the piece de resistance....
"Look, Ma!  No gravity!"

  2. My kids had that same lion costume. I think it got too small for the youngest so I finally threw it away or donated it....can't remember. I bought it when our oldest two had their first Halloween together....years ago! Your pic brought back those memories.:)

    1. Next month will be three years since I found that thing at a second-hand store. Best purchase ever!

    2. We have a tiger costume that looks very similar. Is it hard to get over their heads? Because my kids looooooove it and want to wear it everyday, despite the fact that they cry when I help them get it on AND off. Sheesh.

Love that last shot. So awesome,

    3. I stock pile hand-me-down costumes! My kids favorite way to play ;) Our mailman is regularly greeted by a zoo animal or Princess Darth Vader.

    4. Micaela, my mother in law cut the front of our lion costume and sewed on some velcro so it can slip on like a jacket. :-D

  9. Great outtakes and I so wanna live at your house. Your kids are so YOUR KIDS. That probably doesn't make sense. My kids are so very posed and not at all free spirits and such. Yours each make me smile at their uniqueness. Did that just sound like I don't like my kids?? Sorry.
