Just three quick takes this time

(1)
Holy McMoly. It's Friday.  FRIDAY, y'all.  How...wha....I just....can't even.  No one told me that scheduling my kids for multiple things during the week and trying to keep the house presentable AND trying to actually make all our meals at home would result in me *sniff sniff* not having time to blog.  If you somehow manage to accomplish all of these things, will you kindly share your secrets?  Because dude.  I mean, I'm supposed to be waking my kids up right now to get them to our Friday co-op and boy...I kinda don't wanna.  WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WAKES UP A SLEEPING TODDLER EVER EVER EVER EVER???

Facepalm in my general direction.

Okay, no more takes until we get back.  And eat lunch.  And put Mary down for her nap and get Paul going on his math.  So basically no more takes until 2017.  Thanks so much for your patience!

Well, the co-op was fine until a minor meltdown at the end.  And then we did come home and have lunch and then I sat down to write this and....well...ugh.

A friend, a friend who I was out with just last night on a rare, rare, rare moms' night out, went to the OB for her 16 week check-up this morning and discovered that her baby's heart has stopped beating.  And although her faith is strong and she knows her baby is safer and happier in the arms of Jesus than he could be anywhere else, the pain is still, I know, overwhelming.

Will you please join me in praying for her peace and comfort, this weekend especially?  Will you pray for her husband and her six children here on Earth, that their pain is made manageable by the many hearts lifting them up?

And I think for now that's enough takes.  Thank you all so much.  I have felt the amazing power of your love and support before and hope that same love can buoy my friend and her family now.

  18. First two takes reply...this is why I send my kids to someone else for school. I could never do what you do! You are awesome! And NEVER wake a sleeping toddler... unless chocolate and caffeine are on the line.

Third take...praying. Always praying. You realize you're still on the prayer list too, right?!
