New Series Starts Tomorrow. And a Musk Ox.

On Thursday I wrote a post for Mama Kat's workshop and from that tiny poem came a hundred thousand requests for more of the history behind the history of la casa de dweej.  And that makes me nervous.

Part of me thinks there are a lot of good stories in there.  The other part of me knows that everyone has a story and I'm willing to bet mine isn't quite as scandalous or crazy or moving as you're imagining it to be.  And I don't want this to turn into a Me Dumping My Schtuff on You All the Time blog.  Gotta keep my eye on the moderation clock, ya know?

So I've come up with a compromise which should make everyone happy- those of you who are clamoring for more of the Schtuff Dumping and those of you who are just here for cute pictures of my kids and the over-use of the word 'turd'.  Every Wednesday, starting tomorrow, I'll post a new installment of the history behind the history.  That way those of you who want it can line up real early like in the morning to get your fix and those of you who roll your eyes at that kind of thing can just skip over this here blog and save yourself a few minutes of meandering down memory lane.

Deal?

Great!

And in conclusion (remember that's how really good writers end things?), here is a little gem from our (free) Saturday excursion to the Kingman Museum in Battle Creek.
I'm sorry...still a bit confused.  So you WANT me to pet the musk ox?

  6. For the record, I knew exactly what you were going to say when I read this title. Because I've been secretly hoping for you to reveal more details of what I suspect was an interesting childhood.

And I always get what I want.

Now I'm going to go want to win the lottery. And have the 4 year old realize that "kaykaykaypee" is not, in fact, a recognized letter in the English alphabet.

  8. I am so ready for all dumping of schtuff.

I wake up around 3 am every day (don't ask) so please post your schtuff in a Patty-timely fashion so that I can run for the coffeemaker and then run back to my office and get my fill of Dweej-dumping.
