So here, in their total lack of professionalism glory, are the Easter pictures you've just been dying to see:
In his (blurry, invisible) right hand is a nearly overflowing basket of plastic Easter eggs. |
This was her first real hunt ever. I had to refrain from nom-noming her little arms.... |
The Big Kid hunt got a little intense, I must admit. They were running to out candy each other. |
You see that one on the right? In the blue and pink? Honestly the best picture I have of her from the whole day. |
But, um, can you see the lack of jackets? And the abundance of sunshine? Best. Weather. Ever. And, most importantly, Easter Mass was particularly triumphant and enjoyable this year.
Lent is OVER, my friends! Hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday!
p.s. I also have a new post up over at Catholic Exchange that will probably make a lot of smart folk pretty irritated with me. So to all of you, I apologize in advance. But seriously, what is the obsession with college?
I love Cecilia's dress!!! I think you did well, considering children are notoriously hard to photograph. They also don't take into consideration the difficulties us pregnant photographers have ;)
ReplyDeleteHah! That was the biggest problem! I tried to wear fancy shoes AND a maxi dress....then chasing them through the grass, all four of them going in different directions. It was loony!
DeleteI love your photos, some of my favorite pics of my kids are not traditional ones, in fact you can't see their eyes. They are looking down. Enjoy the pics they are much better than the cheesy smile ones.
ReplyDeleteLooks just lovely to me!
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness, I'm a terrible picture-taker. Thank goodness for grandmothers, because my poor babies wouldn't have much to speak of in the memorabilia dept. I should say, I am awesome at it when they are first born...and doing all their "firsts"...but, um, after that...we are lucky if holiday moments get captured ;) Looks like you all had a great Easter!
ReplyDeleteThey're called action shots, and they will more than suffice.
ReplyDelete(You could crop the distance shot and make them look closer, but I really don't see the need.)
Oh, and feel superior, I had to buy my tulips--at which point I resolved (once again) to plant bulbs this fall, durnit.
I didn't manage to take any pictures from Easter and I don't even have children! So I think you get major props just for trying. Those flowers are beautiful. Hope you had a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteIs that your YARD? I'd love to have a yard that big! With pretty green grass. And woods and trees. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI wish! That's the "yard" at a friend's house. We celebrated with 3 other families, but I was careful to only splash photos of my own children across the internet ;)
Deletecould you re-create for us so we can see a new family picture? Thank you
ReplyDeleteHah! Sure, I'll get right on it ;)
DeleteI'm the worst at holiday pictures too... But that's ok as long as you're having too much fun to take the time to do it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI found you through Camp Patton and I'm so happy I did! My family is also about to embark on a move across the country and I'm trying not to lose my sanity in the process. :)
ReplyDeleteI cheated - I was drinking wine and nursing a baby so I gave my camera to my wacky nephew and let him run after the kids to get the money shots :) But your photos are actually quite good! Especially your little one and her chubby cheeks and adorable Easter dress :)
