  1. That looks like something my 10-year-old would wear ALL THE TIME if she could!

  7. That outfit makes me so happy! I have been told that it takes a very special kind of person to pull off that kind of look. I chose to take it as a compliment. My only advice would be that she could probably pack in another color or two if she changed her socks! ;)

  8. If she wore it to the mall, we could peg her as a homeschooler FOR SURE. PM

  13. She's adorable!

Question for you homeschoolers out there - do you make your children wear a uniform or at least a dress code for school, or can they just wear pj's if they want? Do you think they would take school more seriously if they had to wear a uniform, or is the point of homeschooling to be comfy and relaxed?

    1. I make mine get dressed as if they were going to school because I do think they focus better if they do some prep work beforehand. But every kid is different! That chicken "outfit" was right after I dragged her out of bed- pajamas, jacket, boots. But when she got back, she ate and got dressed for real :)

    2. My kids get dressed, make their beds and set the table first thing. I set the timer for 15 minutes and if those three things are not done, they don't get "toppings" for breakfast (brown sugar/raisins on their oatmeal, etc). If we don't do this, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to get anything done that day. If I had fewer kids, I might be able to do it without the timer, but with 10 of them, the discipline is a must.
