Things may have gotten a little out of hand...

The weekend. The weekend was... It was awesome, you guys.

Sometimes parties happen by accident, you know?  Like suddenly your house is bursting with people and food and drink and you get to complain about terrible, horrible things like having so much beer in the house that it won't  fit in the fridge.  True story.

And my goodness, can we just talk about this weather?  About how fall is fantastic and glorious and the sun is shining and the leaves are turning and I simply canNOT make myself call it autumn, even though it seems all the cool kids are calling it that these days?  Because not much rhymes with autumn (read: nothing) so how am I supposed to make up impromptu songs and irritate my children if I don't call it fall?  Mull over THAT terror for a second, my friends.

Anyway, I'm going to do a little bit of that annoying sneak peek business because some of the pictures we took....well, it's hard to explain.  Because, of course, we "ran" the Catholic Exchange virtual 5K during said accidental party.  Naturally. And I need to digitally convene with Ms. Donaldson and see how this whole reveal thing is gonna go down.  (Hint: it includes a toilet paper finish line)

Blah, blah, blah!  Stop talking about nothing, dweej!

So Saturday morning looked like this when we woke up:

The colors in this picture are completely unedited.  The contrast and the brightness: completely unedited.  This is an unedited photo taken with my point-and-shoot camera out the north window of our bedroom.

I know!

And then a zillion people came over (full disclosure: 6 additional adults and 12 additional children for a grand total of 8 adults, 17 children, 2 dogs, 2 goats, 5 chickens in a crusty old fixer-upper) and things happened, and they kind of looked a little like this...

That's Mary Kate in my super clean kitchen.  She's a rabbit.

vandalized!

The hippest dog on Earth

Which means, of course, that things got a little out of hand.  As. USUAL.

    1. *Everyone's* a winner, Mary Kate! Or, perhaps, the Borobia's are, because they got to keep all the leftover beer.

    2. (Ah, shoot! I did an apostrophe-s, and I hate the misuse of said apostrophe-s.)

  3. Um, bottom rhymes with Autumn. Like in this spiffy limerick I just started:

The leaves start to fall in the autumn,
I just found one stuck to my bottom.

I'll let you finish it. :)

  6. We had a toilet paper finish line too! Dave will be bummed to hear that he wasn't the only brilliant person with that idea though...

    1. You were probably responsible though and actually, like, ran across it in order to break it. We...um...had technical issues? Yes, let's call that the problem.

    1. Girl, you know it. No slow cooked (other) pork for tacos would be complete unless someone's hubby augmented it with bacon!
