Way too many pictures, trust me {p.h.f.r.)

{pretty}
On Sunday we really enjoyed our annual parish Christmas pageant.

There's Paul in the stripes right up front, watching intently as Lizzy, who got to play Mary this year, held and played with (real, live) baby Jesus in the manger.
My beautiful Katie narrating ("Mom, this is great.  I don't have to wear a costume or make-up or anything this time!")

Mary visits Elizabeth (and the back of some people's heads.  Pro photography going on up in here, clearly)

A view of the whole scene including the choir in the parish gym.  It was precious.

After the show, Lizzy (Mary) with baby Jesus and baby Jesus' two big sisters.  Sweet friends!

{happy}

Outdoor Decor: check!

{funny}
Remember the gingerbread cookies I promised I'd make?  On Tuesday we totally did it except that I told the little ones that the kitchen had to be clean before we could start.

Boom.

"Look...we're doing an ingredients dance!"

{real}

Look, I'm sure this stuff is so processed that it doesn't even have an expiration date, okay?  And really, red can be for any holiday.  I mean, right?  Plus, the word "holiday" comes from the word "HOLY" so any holiday's processed sprinkle-food-products are just fine for Christmas gingerbread cookies, okay?  Okay?!?!?

See.  That's what I told them.

  3. Yeah, anything with that much sugar and fake color in it should last a loooong time, I should know! I buy that stuff when it's on sale after holidays. :-)

  4. Looks like a great pageant! :) I can't wait to have a family one day so mine can participate, too.

    Also, you make me laugh, always! Thank you for that.

  7. Clearly sprinkles do not have an expiration date. What I love is those silver dragees that say not to eat them!!! What??
