She Mustache you an Eyebrow.... {wiws}

I probably shouldn't be allowed to link up this week because look at my "outfit" shot:

Hmmmm.  Impressive and informative.

But I am in love with this new shirt from Kohl's (have you started shopping their clearance section yet?  Even online they have great sales with coupon codes and cashback through Ebates.  So much winning!) so I'm here anyway.

Also, I wanted to show you how I used my special system (which I talked about here) this morning to put this outfit together in a jiffy jifferson.

Let's break it down (hammer time):

Skinnies (seen previously many times, including here)

Drapey cardigan (seen here)

New sleeveless top (do you love the colors and the print and the gathering at the top and the silky fabric that you didn't know was silky until I just told you?  Yes.  You do): Kohl's

Long chain with three pendants: it don't matter.  Grab three random things, throw 'em on there, call it art.

Emergency not so dangles: gifted from hubby.  Worn before but I can't remember when.

Same boots as always : because it will always be winter and never Christmas.

Oh, are you wondering why I was in such a hurry?  Because apparently when you spend the evening at a birthday party that yields fantabulous photos like this:

then apparently the next morning gets off to a slooooooooow start for err'body.  Know what I'm sayin'?

Also, longest Mass readings of the year + tired-est-est kids of the year = super restful contempletive morning!  As you might imagine!

I'm tired.

  1. That's a really gorgeous print on the top. Loving the baby mono-brow, too :)

  2. I'm not sure which is better: Mary's unibrow or the clear look of envy on Tommy's face. How does she do it???

    1. If only he could be as manly as she is, all his dreams would come true.

  3. What a gorgeous new shirt! And I love The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe shout-outs!

  4. I wish I still managed to look cute with a uni-brow!

I've never been a fan of Kohls because they always seem expensive, despite their advertising lower prices...but if you've had good luck there, maybe I should give it another try

    1. Oh, I think the sales at Kohl's are spectacular, and I'm totally a thrift store girl. They really do have good coupons, too. It's almost the only place I buy anything new.

  5. So, um, that is pretty much what my eyebrows would look like if I didn't make friends with tweezers. I had a friend in college who said she'd pay me if I let them grow out. I decided I didn't need the money that badly...

    Love the new shirt!

  6. That shirt is super cute! As is the little one with the uni-brow.

I <3 Kohl's clearance section through Ebates! I found a nice jacket for Paul there a couple weeks ago and it got here and was such an awesome deal!

  7. I LOVE those earrings. Subtle, but very, very attractive. Are they sterling silver? With the right scarf, you could totally wear them with that not-a-turtleneck-anymore that you modeled for us yesterday. (Was it yesterday?)

  8. I do wish I could see more of this cute ensemble, but since you threw in a photo of that adorable unibrowed baby, imma let it slide.

    1. Ugh! I feel so bad. But everybody was feeling like doo doo and I couldn't bring myself to tear them away from the wii just to take photos of me. I can't tell if that makes me lazy or a saint...

  9. Oh, baby Mary! Even adorable with a unibrow! Your outfit is pretty darn cute too (esp the blouse plus necklace), even though I had to imagine some of it. ;-)

  11. I think there's something in the FLAP fine print that says you can post a non-head-to-toe outfit as long as you also have a picture of a unibrow baby. For sure.

And I'm pretty sure all our kids conspired to be extra-good at Mass this morning. You know, to help us pray and all that. Someday they'll grow up and we'll miss all this, said an old lady at church this morning. I just smiled and nodded. She clearly didn't see John Paul flinging himself on the kneeler acting out Jesus falling the first, second, and third time.

    1. Hey! You got a blue-haired old lady telling you that, too! Except that your kids hadn't had stomach flu three days earlier.

For the rest of you: This is an amusing family anecdote. Move along here. There's nothing to see.

  12. Yes, I do love the colors and the print and the gathering at the top and the silky fabric! All of it!! And a big fat unibrow on a baby ;)

  13. That top looks adorable and then of course the uni-brow? Oh my goodness!! :)

Lovin' the unibrow baby girl....too funny!!!

  15. Beautiful top! Love the pattern and colors! So glad I found your blog!

  16. It sounds like I have competition for finding the best deals at Kohl's in the clearance section + coupon. Really, I can come out of there with bags of stuff for everyone for $50.

  17. Kohl's clearance online? Shut. Up. As if I don't spend enough money at that store.

  18. Cute, per usual. You always look so bright and cheery :)

And, yup. Longest Mass ever while Ellen wondered out loud if every man with a beard was Jesus.

She also high-fived the Virgin Mary statue.

    Sigh.

  19. Just when I thought I couldn't expect anything more out of a blog you throw in unibrowed babies. Now every blog is going to be lackluster at best if it doesn't regularly feature a uni clad baby!

And yes I do love the silky, cute patterned top! Love Kohl's!

  20. I just love that color combo.

I think you have officially convinced me to make those the colors of my master bedroom redo. When that eventually happens...

  21. If it wouldn't be weird, I would totally make your daughter's uni-brow photo my profile pic. It's soooooo funny and cute and reminds me to STOP taking life so seriously!! Also, love your ensemble, but must admit it's a bit overshadowed by adorably funny munchkin in pink.

  22. I just came from Kohl's this morning. I was so busy getting things for my people that I didn't have time to shop the clearance section for myself. But don't worry - this just gives me a good excuse to go back! ;)

I love that top, by the way!
