The thought of painting it all white (especially the beautiful 6-panel doors) is too much for me. Plus, it hides dirt wayyy better than white.Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11753603934212387119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6378450001604002654.post-64580005011898269672015-04-26T13:36:10.234-04:002015-04-26T13:36:10.234-04:00I'm in awe as well! Are you keeping it like that? We just bought a meticulously maintained home that was built in 1990 so we are SWIMMING in oak trim. I just can't. even. begin. to think about painting it and I seek solidarity outside of Pinterest because I think I'm the only non-white woodwork homeowner in the woooorld.Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02398502839762732521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6378450001604002654.post-70993766439196779312015-04-24T21:32:19.058-04:002015-04-24T21:32:19.058-04:00The bricks look a zillions times better! The bricks look a zillions times better!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03340295455924252285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6378450001604002654.post-36580066125620114642015-04-24T18:59:02.920-04:002015-04-24T18:59:02.920-04:00Wow!!! The only time splashing is an issue is if you leave it on the 'spray' setting rather than the regular stream (mine toggles back and forth). If the kids come to wash their hands, and it's on 'spray, 'it inevitably splashes off of the dishes that are perpetually in the sink. Even then, it only leaves some drops around the sink, nothing major.

Actually, my main concern when I bought ours was that the kids might pull out the faucet and spray each other in the kitchen!Marthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06498320007390028812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6378450001604002654.post-56712315273535454532015-04-24T16:05:29.412-04:002015-04-24T16:05:29.412-04:00Not that you want it, but I have a thought. The o...Not that you want it, but I have a thought. The only thing to me that still could use a tweak is that big white pantry guy. Still a thousand times better than it was, but what if you got some maple veneer (assuming that's what the cabinets are?), stuck that on there, and did your own trim boards around the outsides to mimic the cabinets, and put on matching hardware? I think it would blend in with the rest really nicely, and look custom. I think Cari (from the clan) did something like that with her wainscoting once, and it was fab.
