Not that he'll know anything right now anyway. I just want to know that he feels happy and confident. Or I want to know if he thinks they're a bunch of jokers and would rather not get the job anyway. Or I want to know if he didn't make it on time and he's just too nervous to call and tell me (not likely, but still....).
Ring, you stinky phone!
But I am thankful. So, so thankful that he got this interview. So thankful that we had room on our credit card for him to get a new suit that actually fits properly. Thankful that he's willing to drive an hour to go to this interview. Thankful we have enough gas in our vehicle....that we even have a vehicle, because I know so many who are looking for work don't. They don't have all these things.
The phone is still not ringing, by the way.
So I'm praying that he feels happy and confident. I pray that he is at peace. I pray that whether or not he is offered this job, we realize that it's all part of a bigger plan. A plan that we are not always privy to.
I am thankful.
The phone is still not ringing.
Ring, dang it!
I mean, who WOULDN'T want to hire this guy??? |
10:41 a.m : He just called! His interview lasted 90 minutes. A 90 minute interview! That's good, right? I think that's good. They asked him over 20 questions and were writing furiously the whole time he answered, nodding their heads and making "mmmmhhhhmmmm" noises.
He said he didn't feel stumped or worried even one time during the whole thing. He is totally qualified and experienced for this position, you guys.
He even had the panel members laughing at points. Yay! They were happy! He really is the right kind of funny, folks.
Good times, friends. Good times :)
Now we wait, because they still have more interviews next week. Ugh. Waiting is the worst. Clearly I'm not very patient.
Thank you all for your prayers!!!!!
I just know it's gonna be great!!!! :-)

ReplyDelete" For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord" God's plan for our lives is always so much bigger and better than our pathetic little human brains could think up! If this is the job for him, than he will get it. If not, than it just means there's a better job out there for him. Here's hoping an answer (and some money) comes soon :)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope it works out.
