On Friday I turned 20 weeks pregnant and realized that so far y'all have been subjected to only ONE bump photo. Preeeeeeeeeeeeetty sure that's against bloggy law or something.
Luckily, one of the things on the "things to do before mama's absence" list was to take my three big girls girly shopping and Friday became potentially the best day until...I don't know...January? It's weird not being able to even pretend to plan for stuff, y'all. Anyway. So we done goed to Target, leaving Tommy, Paul and Mary behind to count the minutes until our glorious return. Do you know what they have at Target? Clearance maternity clothes!
Black Liz Lange Maternity dress- originally $35, snagged on clearance for $10
High quality "handcrafted" dweej original turquoise necklace. Also witness: amazing photog skillz
Oh, and every three or four years I buy a single a pair of metallic sandals which I wear to every. single. warm. weather. non-flip-flop. event. until they fall apart.
Jealous of my sweet pedicure action? Thought so.
Okey doke, enough from me. Go check out all the other fashionable gals at Fine Linen and Purple!

You always look so good, girl! I'm such a terrible thrifter/clearancer too so I'm continually inspired by your shopping skills and patience. I need to learn!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Our Target's maternity clearance section is not nearly as fruitful (yes, I check even when I'm not pregnant). Guess we just have a lot of stylish pregnant ladies in this town.
ReplyDeleteI still love that necklace!
Cat, I always look at maternity clearances when not pregnant too! Cute, cheap maternity clothes are so hard to find that you can't wait until you're pregnant! Our Target never had good clearance, never any thing less than 40% off EVER.
DeleteAnd Dwija, that dress is beautiful! So beautiful! Love it!
Adorable!! I need to go to target, methinks.
ReplyDeleteLook like a million bucks, like my dad used to say! Esp love the necklace.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteTheir maternity clothes are better than their regular clothes! You are rocking that maxi!! Love.

ReplyDeleteOk, the answer to "Where did Ceci get such great hair?" answered. You look like an amazing fertile goddess-type.
ReplyDeleteOverexposing photos even makes hair look better!

That dress is gorgeous! The price makes it even more so :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 20 weeks!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! And happy halfway!! Keep cookin' baby! :)
ReplyDeleteLove Target clearance...and totally almost bought that dress even though my baby bump is more a "haven't lost the baby weight" bump. You look gorgeous!!! I'm so impressed by the necklace too! Beautiful ... All around beautiful...inside and out!
ReplyDeletePraying you're feeling well and renovations are coming along glitch free. :)
You look so beautiful! I love the dress! And that necklace is perfect and adds just the right touch!
ReplyDeleteI seriously almost messaged you on facebook the other day to say "What is this Michigan animal destroying my garden?!?!?!" But then it was identified. I didn't expect such big pests so close to downtown!
Lov'n the bump! So glad it's still bump'n! But seriously put your legs up!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! And I didn't see that dress at Target last time, I will have to go look for it!

ReplyDeleteClassy dress...and awesome baby bump!
ReplyDeleteOkay, has anyone ever told you you look like Sigourney Weaver? Because you're like, a prettier version of her, but with a wonderfully slim pregnant body... Amazing! Best maternity dress EVER! Please never stop wearing it.
ReplyDeleteSo classy! Love the dress, and the black with turquoise.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever looked more amazing?! The dress, your hair, the necklace, that sweet bump and prego-mama glow...gorgeous! And hooray for 20 weeks!!
ReplyDeleteYou look b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. And! I snagged that dress off of the clearance rack at Target a few weeks ago, but returned it because I could not pull it off. You, on the other hand, rock it!

ReplyDeleteFriend of Rebecca Frech's popping over. :D
ReplyDeleteI did 4 weeks on hospital bedrest, not nearly as daunting as what you are looking at but at least I have some clue what it is like to leave your family (this was #10, 8 at home, 1 at college) at home and enter prison errr...the hospital. I think I asked my OB every days for the first week, "Can I go home? I want to go home. I'm going home." I eventually sucked it up. The worst day was the day my 2 year old was in the Children's ER down the street. I came () this close to throwing on my bathrobe and walking down there. As it was dh had to put the ER nurse on the phone with me to get his history.
You ever want to talk, let me (or Rebecca know).
Thank you so much for this comment, Karen. It absolutely feels like I'm about to be incarcerated! During the days leading up, I'm able to distract myself, but in the evenings and at night I nearly panic just anticipating what's to come. It seems....not possible. I mean, you know what I mean. Crazy.
DeleteOh my goodness Dwija You. Look. Gorgeous. I love everything about this!! I am so happy for you making it to 20 weeks! Here's to 20 more :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of post I love to see in my newsfeed! You look gorgeous. Congrats on 20 weeks & on a darn snazzy outfit! We'll keep those prayers coming.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteDwija - YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!! Our family has been praying every day for you and baby. My son George, asks me every day, "Mom, how is your friend's baby doing?" The boys were all smiles when they saw your pic. Precious baby, awesome mom, beautiful family. We are so blessed to have a little window into your faithful world!
ReplyDeleteLooking beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHot mama!! The dress, sandals, necklace, and the lady wearing them are all fabulous!! Hooray for Target runs - they're far too few for me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress! Best wishes and our prayers for a continued successful pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI know it has been said, but seriously, you look very beautiful, very elegant!! Oh, and I have that kind of pedicure too :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteNot pregnant, still went out and bought this dress. Yup--$10. :) Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you look amazing!!! Love the dress and necklace.
ReplyDeleteI've only just started reading your blog, and have been praying for you and baby Nicholas!
ReplyDeleteI think that my Mom just got me that same dress at Target, too. I haven't been there in a while, but I'm sure that's what she described. It's so pretty!
20 weeks! Hooray! You look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGosh, you're a pretty pregnant lady.
ReplyDeleter.e. your pedicure - Last week I went out to dinner with two of my best friends. At some time (post cosmopolitan) I pointed out my pedicure, which I had just lovingly received from my four year old daughter earlier that day. My friends laughed out loud at my toes. Even the proper British one.
I figure they're just jealous, because some of us can rock the special pedicure action, and some can't. (See how I made myself feel better by pretending you and I are in the same category? Nice.)
You look absolutely beautiful, Dwija! You and you're beautiful bump. And that dress was made for you.
