You know you're easily entertained when....
...you can use an old cell phone's ring tone as mood music while you record some trees behind your house.
True story, y'all. Lizzy took the camera and my discarded phone out back and made this masterly masterpiece of cinematic achievement:
It's okay. You can admit it. I fell asleep at second 43, too.
But the homemade soundtrack! Dying of cute!

Nature with a soundtrack? Amazing! (So far, my daughters have only accidentally turned on the voice recorder on my phone, which picked up a 20 minute soliloquy about the solar system by their brother. Maybe larger cinematic efforts lie in store?)
ReplyDeleteGirl, fer serious. You're gonna have so many photo slide shows of My Little Pony Hairdos, you won't know what to do with them all!
ReplyDeleteThis is precisely why kids need the chance to be bored. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and adore your daughter for making it. And you, for giving her the time to find something to do.
ReplyDeleteDang, I am pretty impressed. Does this count as higher order critical thinking skills in your curriculum?
ReplyDeleteAwesome use of an outdated technology device! Lizzy did a great job, but what happened to the goats and chickens???
ReplyDeleteI love Michigan in the fall!
Oooh, me too, me too, me too. And the chickens were hiding somewhere...but the goats. Well, I'll have to tell y'all about the goats soony soon soon!
DeleteI hope it isn't bad news about the goats:(
DeleteOverall it's good news. It was a little sad for us but not bad, especially not for them. No worries!
DeleteDude, that is the perfect video to cure insomnia! Soooo relaxing!
ReplyDeleteThe soundtrack is so awesomesauce, I honestly wouldn't have thought of it! Clever girl. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteBecause people named Elizabeth are awesome and artsy like that!!!! Woot!
ReplyDeleteNo but seriously, this is really cool. She's headed to Hollywood, mark my words.
Shoot, I thought that would show up with my name....which is Elizabeth.....Oh well
DeleteHahahaha! I had assumed as much...but now I know for sure! :)
DeleteThat is VERY cool. She's got the old school Batman screen tilt mastered. :)
ReplyDeleteReally neat. But I think that I am motion sick. :)
ReplyDeleteJust one of the many services I provide. You're welcome.
DeleteAaaaaand now...the wind has snatched all the pretty leaves off of the trees - my neighbors trees - and dumped them knee deep in my front yard. Yippee freakin' skippee. *grumble, grumble*
ReplyDelete-heathet
Or as i'm more commonly known as: Heather...with an r.
DeleteI already had vertigo - but I think this little film cured it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little soundtrack, and with the leaves rustling in the wind! It was wonderful.
