Compost can, indeed be pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd I want you to take me to Steak N Shake. That, Chic Fil A and Waffle House are all Southern food I miss so, so much.
And I think you may have all of them in Michigan. So what does that say about the mitten state?
Sooo excited...they are.building a Steak n Shake near us!!! Woohoo! Paper hats for EVERYONE!!!
ReplyDeleteSo...yeah...anyhow...digging the rest of your pics! Love that Mary-Fairy's chubber-luscious cheekers!!
Love your coffee mug :) Ted worked for Two Men and a Truck when we first got married! Over half of the furniture in our house came from people who ran out of room on the truck and gave stuff to Ted!
ReplyDelete10 on Ten. How is it I hadn't heard of this before today?! How fun! I do enjoy checking out how others rock/survive their day. What a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteYou clever little photo clicking momma! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh this is delightful dweej! Don't you just love how you can find beauty in the tiny minutes of the day. That is SO why I love ten on ten. Also, you are on the west side of the state right? We want a steak n shake over here on the east side. We demand steak n shake.
ReplyDeleteGreat set! Can't wait to see what you do for February, too. Compost IS beautiful.
What a fun thing to do! I despise both cooking and wasting food as well... resulting in cooking more than I'd like.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! I feel like I went through the day with you. Except I didn't get any delicious carbs in my belly...fail. Your compost is the prettiest :) *Filed under "things I never dreamed I would say"
ReplyDeleteVery nice, but we all know it's just an excuse to post some of the hundreds of pictures you're taking with that shiny new camera! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a full day! Your children are precious.
ReplyDeleteThat's the prettiest compost I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteLove this.
Composting! That's one of my goals for '13...is there some kind of secret to beginning one? I could probably google it, but it's much easier for me to just have you tell me.
ReplyDeleteHah! You leave the best comments.
DeleteIf you google it, there's gonna be all these people telling you that you have to buy special things. Here's what we do: All compostable stuff gets shoved into an empty coffee can on the kitchen counter. When it's full, we go out the back door to a regular old black outdoor trashcan (like for leaves and stuff?) that has a lid and we dump it in there. The end. I'm not joking! And it totally works. Last spring we double-dug a new garden bed using the previous year's compost and oh the number of tomatoes we got was absolutely staggering. Crazy.
Good luck!
Pretty sure I did something wrong.... http://follow-and-believe.blogspot.com/2013/04/how-not-to-compost.html
DeleteBanana bread is something I used to make at least once a month before Alexander started his obsession with nanas every.single.day. Now they don't even get ripe enough before he's consumed them. I've never heard of steak and shake, but my belly wants some!
ReplyDeleteYou are having so much fun with that camera toy, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteThat was fun! Totally gonna do this next month!
ReplyDeleteLove your set!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family you have!
Kisses and blessings.

Fun project! I would be so sneaky about it though. Every hour I would make sure I was doing something incredible so I could look like I wasn't being a schlub all day ;) I loved looking into your day though! You get more done by 8am than I do by 4!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great blog you have published. I adore it and will share to my friends. Thanks!
