Oh boy. Is it really the end of August already?
***INSERT DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS EMOTICON HERE***
Because that means this weekend is (not so)tiny baby Mary's baptism and then next weekend is Labor Day and then the new school year starts. And I am not at all, at all, at all ready for that. Okay, I'm a tiny bit ready in that we have our books (thank you Lord for inspiring me to use my pre-baby nesting instinct for curriculum shopping!), but I had all these grand ideas and hopes and dreams about the entire year, or at least the first month, planned out for each of my three school aged children.
And we're going to have dance lessons and horsemanship, courtesy of our homeschool partnership, plus CCD on Wednesdays, plus my various and sundry writin' responsibilities, the ball of which I've basically dropped for the past, um, 6 months. Yes, I'm hanging my head in shame right now. Oh, and did you know I have 5 children? And they have things? Things. Lots and lots of things. And I feel like there is no way I can even keep track of all this stuff. I mean, how am I supposed to keep track of all this stuff? There's just no way. The tiny squares on my tiny whiteboard calendar on my fridge are just too tiny and the marker tips are just too big.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa....a planner, you say? A calendar? Well that is a clever, clever idea my clever friend. So in the spirit of giving away the things I would like to have, I've once again perused the fab selection over at Aquinas & More, and chosen this lovely 2013 Saints Calendar & 16 Month Planner to give away to one lucky reader. Actually, Aquinas & More will give it to you and I'll just take credit for it, but let's not split hairs, shall we?
Gorgeous, I know. Plus super clever because it starts in September (that's just 11 days away, folks) and takes you all the way through next year. Glorious.
So git to clickin' on the spiffy Rafflecopter form, will ya? Good luck!
OH! We started our homeschool year today. This planner would be awesome for coordinating everyone's lessons, activities, and appointments.
ReplyDeleteJohanna
My boys start ccd in September, too. I finally convinced my husband to stop going to both the Lutheran and Catholic church & thus confusing the kids. I was raised Catholic and we are officially raising the boys catholic, too. It feels so right and even better now that we are all on board. Now only if I could convince Nick to convert. Bwahahaha...
ReplyDeleteTee hee! If the Holy Spirit can change my heart, He can do it for him too. It'll be awesome!!! :D
DeleteI need this calendar to keep track of two school schedules, 6 soccer teams, our client appointments, and my nights out to drink wine with my friends. Can it do all of that?
ReplyDeleteThis calendar looks awesome! So much more inspiring than the boring old moleskin planners I typically use.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the cover art lovely? I know I'm a little partial to St. Cecilia these days, but even if you're not...still fabulous!
DeleteThis is a beautiful calendar! I could plan all my stuff and things... :)
ReplyDeleteWell I keep a white board with all my "to do"'s, but it would be great if I remembered to look at it. Haha. I have so much to do, juggling kids and household. I would use it to TRY and remember appointments and what bills are due. Also important school function days and church meetings. :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous calender! I only have one kiddo (praying for a couple more!!! :0) ) and we have dancing 3 times a week along with homeschool 4h, and on and on...Lol....Good luck to all!! :0)
ReplyDelete....awhile back I scheduled an eye appt for the kiddo (it takes MONTHS to get in at the dr here...) and one morning the kiddo says, "Mom, dont I have an eye appt today?", .....welll checked and it was for that morning, I called (all of 5 minutes late) and they had to re-schedule for another appt.....2 MONTHS AWAY!!! >....grrrr~it is bad when the kids remember and you dont!! So I am guessing winning this calender would be super duper helpful!!! Lol...
ReplyDeleteI'm always forgetting about appointments! But I also want to be more organized at keeping track of the liturgical year so we can remember to celebrate our favorite saint's days. So so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe love liturgical calenders! They actually help with our meal planning in a weird way. Crepes on Saturday for St Louis of France!
ReplyDeleteArgh, so much to remember so little time...I'm terrible at planning, pretty much everything.
ReplyDeleteI have a teeny tiny planner that I carry around in my purse, which I love, but this one looks so nice with the saints and all, that I am entering the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous planner!
ReplyDeleteWe have about three sites blocked at work...Rafflecopter is one of them. If only I had a planner to remind me to come back tonight and enter from home.
ReplyDeleteThose turds!
DeleteI have 6 soccer practices, 1 gymnastics class and a plethora of other items to schedule. I need this planner!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful planner. I could really use it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is the key to keeping my family sane???
ReplyDeleteSeeing as how I've just started the 3rd trimester for #2 and the pregnancy brain is in ridiculously full swing, a planner would be much appreciated by my entire family. And my coworkers. And me! :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous calendar. desperately in need of one...with a newborn I can remember NOTHING without writing it down.
ReplyDeleteWhat!? We're supposed to plan our days? Yeah... I would totally start if I won that gorgeous calendar! ;) Nothing like an incentive... you would think the kids themselves would be enough... you would think.
ReplyDeleteI have 4 boys with so many things going on. I really need this calendar!!
ReplyDeletemomma like. :) would love to have! Busy planning my school year here too!
ReplyDeleteDwija - first time poster(sounds strange) - love reading about all of your adventures!! - love donkey guy (the animal pop-up toy and animal sounds video was HILARIOUS)- anyway, back to the calendar, I would love to send this to my aunt who homeschools her kids - have a great day (hopefully, sans any mice incidents)
ReplyDeleteI would love this beautiful calendar as a reminder of the call to become a saint, as the new mother of a chubby 5 month old son.
ReplyDeleteI need this. I am horrible at remember important dates!
ReplyDeleteI survive on our family calendar on the wall and notes about meal plan and such on the counter...not pretty, but it has worked okay in this season of life.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, that tiny little calendar I printed from Microsoft Office hanging on my fridge is a bit small!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteDwija - your posts are the BEST! Love reading everything you write. Can hardly wait between posts. :) Thanks for sharing so much of yourself on here.
ReplyDeleteWe gots one baby girl and lots to do with family. Not quite as busy as you, I'm sure. I'm from a family of seven, so there seems to always be something going on, and then I'm gardening and the hubby and I teach NFP, so almost always something on the calendar. :) I've never seen that picture of St. Cecilia before. Gorgeous!!! Need to check out the Aquinas website - got some goodies o'er there!
They have great stuff. You gotta check 'em out :)
DeleteWhiteboards & paper calendars. Totally old-school here.
ReplyDeleteI need this calendar to keep track of doctor's appointments and school schedules.
ReplyDeleteBrand new here and loving it!
ReplyDeleteI just realized this weekend that George goes back to school next Monday - NEXT MONDAY! - and Jackson starts kindergarten on Sept. 4. Gulp.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cover! I am expecting number 5. Hubby in grad school. Must. Organize. My. Life.
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious day!
I have 3 month old twins, a 6 yr old and 8 yr old twins. Yes, 2 sets of twins. Take pity on this homeschooling Catholic mom and give me a planner. My husband will thank you!
ReplyDeleteJust started looking at "homeschooling" stuff for Belle for fall. Nothing too crazy since she is only 3 1/2 but still... a planner would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! You caved on the horseback riding. I knew you would!
ReplyDeleteDoes this serve as my comment? I really love this planner.
I just bought a planner, but this one is so beautiful I might have to use it instead if I were to win!
ReplyDeleteOh good gravy! I need a new planner to keep up with all of my dr appointments and now my toddler's therapy . Not to mention so I know when the hubs is working or home or whatever!
ReplyDeleteOooooooo nice planner! We just started back up with homeschooling 2 weeks ago and I'm already realizing that we desperately need a 2013 planner in order to jot down all of to-dos for next year! This one looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI need this calendar so that I can make some attempt at being an organized momma. And to shut off SpongeBob every once in a while. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe're starting preschool homeschooling this year and attempting life as a one car family. Definitely going to need some sort of organizer!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to win this for my mom, actually. She is my best and primary babysitter, but with many children of her own she has a crazy schedule. Too many times poor Mom-mom has answered the door with, "Oh my gosh, is that today...??". :)
ReplyDeleteLove you, Mom!
That calendar looks great and my Mom can always use a new one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dweej!
With all of my girls' activities I could use a beautiful planner like this. Life is about to get crazy busy for us starting next week when school begins.
ReplyDeleteBaahhh....Hmm... schedule? Yeah something like that used to happen around here If I remember correctly, which I don't.... But I do remember my life not feeling so nuts back then... So I've been trying to find it again, but I think it's lost somewhere with our Nativity Joseph and that one earring that I loved...
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! I would love it for the artwork alone!
ReplyDeleteMost of the time I feel hopelessly unorganized but I keep hoping with new calendars and planners each year that I'll get it together one of these days! ;)
ReplyDeleteHomeschool,co-op, hockey schedule, goalie lessons, ballet classes, Nutcracker rehearsals, youth group and church...occasional mom's night out and dates with Mr. Incredible. Please, oh oh!! *hand raised and jumping up and down!!* Pick me!!
