Top 10 Photos from the past Week

Remember back in the fall when we lasagnaed our garden?  Well, I'm starting to think it may have worked, because over the last few days we've:

worked the soil...

(while this little one enjoyed a spring breeze)

and double dug the beds...

(while the big ones fashioned this swing)

and transplanted the radishes from their tiny indoor trays.

Relaxing...

Swinging...

Napping...
The boy with his chickens.
And wet laundry drying outdoors in the sun. Just...lovely.

p.s. tomorrow we wear shorts!

  1. I think there's been a role reversal. We're just back from Michigan, and now, here in Oregon, this very morning... snowing. What the hay? This is *western Oregon*. We don't get snow!

But Michigan was nice. 30 and snowing day one, 30 day two, 55 and sunny day three, 55 and rainy turned to sun day four.

  2. Holy cow, look at that dirt and those radishes. I predict an epic gardening year for you guys. We're in the midst of a big melt here, but it's still weeks before I'll even think about starting seedlings. *sigh* I'm kind of jealous.

    1. We're totally taking a risk here- they are the cold hearty stuff, but still. Before St. Patrick's day? We're gonna regret it! :)

  5. So fun. I want a big garden (did an itty bitty one last year) and chickens and a fuzzy brown cow. But We live on a city sized lot in a small town where you have to have a permit to do anything...I don't think I would get away with any of that. Except maybe a slightly larger garden. Enjoy!

  7. This weather is crazy, huh? We rode bikes today and we were sweating because of the way the sun was beating down along with the temperature. It's just bizarre.

Our homeschool group actually agreed to cancel our co-op this week and just meet at the park instead. ;)

  9. I bought a packet of spinach seeds yesterday. Too early to sow in the ground, in Minnesota. Probably. But this weather...in the 70s...so tempting. Love the photos.

  10. "lasagnaed" - Shakespeare would be proud, Dwija. Are you guys still thinking about going into the farming market?

  11. Next spring I hope that we are in our forever home so that I may hang laundry on a line. Right now we live in a home and the subdivision community does not allow laundry lines. Bah!

I'm envious of your cozy little top ten. :)
