I probably have a soft spot for little girls named Cecilia. Or maybe for little girls in general. And for mamas who are worried worried about their little girls. And their little boys. And...
You know what? Maybe there's not specific soft spot. People just matter, man.
A sweet reader named Natalie sent me this story about her goddaughter the other day and asked if I would share it with all of you and so here I am.
Cecilia Harrison was diagnosed at just one precious month old with a Rhabdoid tumor, which is an aggressive, fast moving, and malignant form of cancer. Can you imagine? At just one month old your newborn's abdomen being invaded by such a beast? The good news right now is that MRI and CT scan have both shown that the cancer has not spread. But the bad news...well, the bad news is that she is a baby with cancer.
Will you pray for Cecilia and the Harrison family as they embark on their chemotherapy journey in an effort to save their daughter? And if you're looking for a worthy cause to support this month or this year, please consider donating here to help them with their medical expenses.
Cecilia has two big sisters and a big brother who are ready for a miracle for their baby sister, so pray for them, too.
Thank you all for your kindness! You can keep up on their journey via their CaringBridge site, which you can take a look at here.
St. Cecilia, pray for us! St. Peregrine, pray for us!
