Jamberry Nail Wraps: giveaway

Welcome friends, both new and old!  It's been really moving to be a part of the enthusiastic response to yesterday's post.  Incredible.  God is so smart and good.  So, welcome back to....a product review and giveaway?  Well, I wouldn't want you to get too accustomed to me being full of insight and smartness, would I?  Because truly those moments are few and far between.  Most of the time I'm just here doing my renovating/homeschooling/pseudo girly mom thang and I'm super grateful that y'all like to hang out and do all of that with me.

So let's get to it!
A few months ago, all my favorite stylish ladies started sporting these amazing manicures and I could NOT figure out how they found the time to go to the nail salon and sit and sit and sit while a nail polish artist applied intricate designs to each of their precious finger nails.

Aha!  Not professionally applied at all!  They were, of course, Jamberry nail wraps, and I became obsessed with them.  One day I was ogling someone's nails on Instagram and she was like "hey, why don't I send you some to try?" to which I replied "Yes, that is my question exactly.  Why DON'T you send me some???."  So she did.  Her name is Lindsey.  Here is her shop.

See how long each "sticker" is?  You can cover 36 nails with just one sheet of wraps by cutting them in half.  That's a lot of nails!

day 1

day 4

day7
Left hand after one week of heavy wear:

p.s. in these photos you can also sort of see my novena bracelet from my friend Shannon's store Organic Mama's Shop.  I'll post more pics and review AND a coupon code for that on a different day, but I don't wanna become "that blog that is always going on about things we should buy" so I'll give you a teeny breather before I launch into that.  Bueno?  Bueno.

And the post 1 week shot of my right hand:
By day 7 you can tell the wraps aren't freshly finished but seriously- it was the first time I had ever applied them, I had to put these on with my left hand (I'm right handed) and then I scraped encrusted goo (goo can too be encrusted!  You know...when it's totally encrusted and then you let it soak overnight and then you wake up in the morning and the top layer is gooey but the bottom layer is still crusty and you have to get it off somehow?  Yeah, that.) off the bottoms of pyrex dishes using my nails as tools.

Keeping all that in mind, I'm gonna call this level of wear an absolute win.

Okay, time for the fun part: free stuff!  Lindsey is gonna send a half sheet of these Icy Boysenberry Polka Jamberry nail wraps to one lucky winner.
Enter to win using the handy dandy rafflecopter form and feel free to pepper me with questions in the combox.

Good luck!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

p.s. Lindsey says you can host facebook parties with her and you can win stuff and get hostess exclusives but I don't know all the details there because I'm remarkably unsavvy when it comes to those sorts of things.  So get with her and make that happen, okay?  Okay.

p.p.s. If you buy 3 sheets of wraps you get one free.  Many awesome.  Such great.

    1. A sheet of the wraps is $15 and will cover 36 nails. So whether you wrap every fingernail or you do just one finger with the wrap and paint the others or any other combo you like, it's still a good deal :)

    2. You can do your toes as well! Most people can use the two biggest wraps and do all 10 toes. ;)

  18. Because I can never like just one thing, my favourites are: Oh Canada (I'm Canadian, eh), Hockey (because NHL starts next weakfish), Sheet Music ('cause I play a couple instruments and sing), and Vintage Chic (because I like all things vintage and antique). :D

  20. "Kiss Me Ombre." I've been wanting to try these for a while but was afraid to take the plunge and spend the money. $15 seemed like a lot for one set of nails but it is awesome to know that you could do your nails 3x with one set.

  21. Porcelain is always my favorite, but it's not very fall-ish. I wore Jamberry's during our moving process. I never broke a nail when packing, moving, & unpacking. As a bonus, my nails still looked good which gave me a nice boost when I was exhausted. :-)

  24. I just finished preparing 3 pounds of chicken salad, enough pasta salad, macaroni salad , carrot and celery sticks for 50 people, 4 dozen daisy decorated cupcakes and 50 decorated wedding cake cookies for a bridal shower for my daughter last weekend. I would love to win some nail covers to upgrade my nails for the wedding on October 11!

Also, I love having "done" nails, but these Jamberry nails present two problems for me. 1) I don't have a blow dryer. They just make my hair crazy...sooo... and 2) I have the fattest thumbs in all eternity - they look like toes! IT's insane! I don't think these lovlies would fit over my super wide thumbs.

ANYWAY, these are darling. And I love your blog. And you.

    1. Girl, Madeline (I think that's who it was???) says she uses the ambient heat from her flattening iron to do her jams, so maybe that could work? AND the wide stickers are broad enough for even BIG TOES, so I can promise you golden results on your ginorm thumbs ;)

    2. Andrea i have big thumbs too. They fit. :)

  38. I'm usually very staid with my nails, but I'm loving the mummy ones for Halloween! Do these feel "thick" at all? Or just like nail polish? The thickness of acrylics and other fake nails always bothers me...

  46. I don't do my nails anymore... it has been so many years I can't remember the last time! Excuse: with 9 kids I don't have time for them to dry, they always get messed up! This could solve that problem! There are way too many choices... I'd have to spend A LOT of time to make just the right decision :)
