He
got up early and baked cranberry orange scones. Homemade broth for the girl with the cough. Bacon for the happy littles. Eggs from our chickens. A freshly brewed pot of coffee.
I'm thankful for a husband who cooks for his kids. Who thinks about what will make his family happy. Who doesn't let our fear ruin their fun.
Outside, the air is crisp and cool. A breeze blows the first yellow leaves past the dining roo
m window. "Fall is co
ming! Get ready!" it calls.
I'm thankful for this beautiful place with its changing seasons.
Hugs and laughter and prayers. Paul at his very first class last night, so big, hugging the little boy who cried.
I'm thankful for our loving parish community. For beautiful friendships. For kindness.
Amen sister!~LD
