Should I be embarrassed to lead with a cleaning product?  Have I already told you about this before?  You know what, I love this so much that I don't even care.  Srsly.  It is absolute magic.

If you have not tried Folex, you best get some rightthisverysecond.  Not only does it ACTUALLY get stains off of carpets (which no grocery store product has ever done for me.  They are such jokes, yo), I also use it on upholstery and clothes.  Spilled mustard on my shirt- immediately removed it with Folex and kept wearing the shirt for the rest of the day.  Hubby got some kind of purple stain on a shirt- shot it with Folex on his way out the door and drove straight to work looking fresh and non-slob-like.

AND, from the description "This product contains no organic solvents, petroleum distillates, or flammables of any kind. This product is nontoxic, nonmagnetic, nonflammable, and odor free."

How can it be?  I do not know.  But it is my fave.  I order it online because I can't find it at stores here and I love it that much.

While we're chatting about shopping online, here's a little secret I just remembered the other day: buying razors off of Ebay.

I just got an order and spent literally half of what I would have at the grocery store.  Brand new.  Name brand.  Sweetness.

Rex Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine, Rex Goliath cabernet sauvignon, can claim the trifecta of fabulousness: yummy taste, low price, fun label.  Snagged me some for five dollah, make me holla.

Not surprisingly, we are lovers of ye olde MST3K.  Yesterday Tommy and I got to enjoy this hilarious compilation of clips.  Watch.  Laugh.  Enjoy.

BontebOktoberfest

I don't know what Bonteboktoberfest is (yet), but it's going to be at the Binder Park Zoo, which is my last fave of the week and how can you not love a place that hosts an event like that?  Also, all creepy stalkers avert your eyes now because I'm going to tell you that as soon as I publish this, we are on our way there and I think I'm more excited than the kids are.  It. Is. So. Great!

  1. How much do you pay for the 12 pack of mach 3's? The link you provided just goes to the eBay homepage, so I'm trying to search for the good deal you found... but can't find it...

  3. Are you kidding?! Folex is the freakin' bomb! Of course you would start with it!! It's like having a super power!! My eldest and I actually get excited about stains now because it means we get to whip out the Folex! Only one thing didn't work, and it's kind of disturbing. My kids had some purple sparkly lotion. It got on the carpet (long story) and the purpleness never got out. Not so sure about letting the kids buy that stuff any more, but Folex is the best!

  4. Folex might save my life. My 2 yo girl is craycray into makung messes, added to my natural clutziness, added to "we live in the church's house" - i need me somadat. Stat.

  5. Folex by itself hasn't been getting the stupid baby poop off of the carpet for us, but I hit the stains with club soda afterwards and it's PERFECT - love that it isn't going to make me too nervous to let the kids crawl around on the rug afterwards!

  6. Folex is theeeee most amazing product! Lovelovelove. My mom got me hooked a few years ago, and I love loaning my bottle out to friends in distress.

  7. I swear to you, I was already on my way to bontervoktoberfest!

  8. LOVE the MST3K clip! I had to share it with a bunch of my friends at the intersection of "science fiction fan" and "high church."

  9. Ugh. Is it weird that I'm kind of mad at you for sharing that razor tip? My excuse for not shaving used to be that the razors are too expensive.

    Need a new excuse...

  10. I am a cleaning product junkie. Some women have drawers full of shampoos and soaps and all the girly stuff, but I have drawers full of cleaners! I'll have to check out this little Folex gem!

  11. I have some fond memories of Binder Park Zoo from before we moved south! I hope y'all enjoy your day! ((I get more excited about the zoo than any kid! I love zoos!))

2)I totally know where to get razors now and I am so glad you posted that!

  13. And this post is the epitome of why I love, love, love the five faves link-up! I need to get me some of that cleaner...where online do you get it? And the razors on ebay! Thanks! Will do that to! I just got really excited this week because we found out buying paper towels and toilet paper on amazon (with a prime membership) was cheaper than buying at the store! I love me some money-saving tips!

  14. I need to order some of that Folex, for sure! And I even have an Amazon credit! So it will be FREE goodness!! It doesn't get any better. I'm curious to hear how you liked the razors, because here's my weird story. I bought some a few years ago- the same blades, in fact, from Ebay (for half price- like you) and they arrived... new in box... but my husband always swore that they felt - and performed- differently. He cut himself a lot. He always swore that it was a defective pack or something. Eventually he threw them away :( and I haven't bought blades from Ebay again. Which is a travesty, because razor blades, as you know, are out-the-box, practically-need-to-take-out-a-loan, who-the-heck-can-afford-this?-expensive. Sigh. I'm sure my experience was a fluke. So keep us posted about yours!

  15. Love Folex! I found it the first time on base housing "store" when we lived overseas, but I found it at Bed Bath and Beyond back in the states! Lifesaver with dogs and kids.

  16. Ha! Folex was one of my past Five Favorite picks, too. I love that stuff. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

  17. Love Folex! I will never forget how it saved my carpet from the Great Poop Accident of 2012.

I will need to try both the razor tip AND the wine. Always looking for the next great wine!

  18. How did I not know about Folex?? I must go now and get some. Hope you had a fabo time at the zoo!! LOL!

  19. Where can I git sumodat Folex in 5-gallon buckets?

  20. Yay!! Thanks for the Folex suggestion. I hatehatehate nasty chemicals, so I'm always in the market for a safe cleaning product.

My husband bought razors off ebay so cheap that he's still working through the huge stockpile he bought years ago. Great idea!

  21. Oh my gosh I live like an hour from Binder Park Zoo and have totally been there. I hope that's not super stalker-y. I figure it's not because now you could find me, too?

  22. I love Folex. Just spotted my carpet with it for the first time this week and it was borderline fun. Normally I hate our carpet because it's old and constantly stained. Do you have any good shower tips? I cannot get the floor clean (white bumpy plastic style). I've tried dawn/vinegar, comet, oxyclean. I read oven cleaner works but it seems weird to use in a shower?

  23. Hi Dweej! Here I sit, sipping my first try of Rex Goliath (outstanding! oh, super-yum!) while reading The Long Ships (oh, I think that was from Jennifer Fulwiler's blog - well, it's a really good story!) on my nook. What a great read, I'm really enjoying it! Oh, also picked up some Folex too, and found Fusion razor blades for my husband for... you bet - almost half price. You are definitely THE GAL.

  24. Pretty sure you wrote this post just for me, and you don't even know me. I was feeling pretty down because we just moved from Iowa to Michigan and I'm not loving it here just yet. But the MST3K made my night! Then I saw your recommendation for the Binder Park Zoo and now I know one thing I can do with my bandits next week I wasn't sure if the zoo here sucked or not and I don't have anyone to ask. Glad to know that it's cool Thanks!
