Ready?

taken the first weekend after we closed on the house |
taken after our first weeks of living here |
You know why I started with this room? Because we haven't closed on the sale of the old house and can't rip out the kitchen yet! Yay! (it's going to be so wonderful/horrible when we get to that point, see.ree.ous.LEE.)
Ready for the mostly finished product?
I got this stick up light |
that set of cubbies on the left isn't even finished. They didn't have enough pieces in stock at Menards, dagnabit! |
tools on the bench = real life happening |
Do you love it? Wanna see what took the longest?

I think the only thing this post is missing is a bicep before/after. Let's see those muscles, woman!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The room looks amazing!
DeleteI'm highly disappointed I don't see that RAD Menard's toilet lid in there somewhere. #fail But, seriously, I love that cheery yellow. It's lovely Dweej!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors. It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThe ceiling is so much better! Love the colors. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's so fresh & feminine & bright.
ReplyDeleteThe pic my feed displayed with this post was one of the "befores" and I was feeling pretty worried. Along the lines of "but this is worse". So glad it wasn't true, lol.
Love the door color and the ceiling! Ah, the power of caulk!!!
ReplyDeleteI like it! I'm glad it's nice as I'm sure you spend a great deal of time in there!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! 8 humans and that room looks terrific! I am down to the two of us (well, kinda almost 3) and I would just curl up and die if my laundry room looked that fabulous!!! You are the winner!!!
ReplyDeleteThe paint is great, but thank you for caulking! Makes a world of difference. Also, cabinets in a laundry room are a winning idea. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThe wall of coats is the best part! You are so blessed!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Love the cubbies, love the shelf, love the blue door! :)
ReplyDeleteJamie
Your caulk job looks fantastic. When we renovated our nursery, I felt like putting so many hours (so many!) into the caulking was worthless, but it makes a HUGE difference in how finished everything looks! Looks great!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Dwija I am so happy for you. This is just so, so lovely! All of your hard work is evident and what a wonderful space!!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!! Love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the house blessing! Just this last Christmas we learned this was a thing...and then came home to our purchased-right-before-Christmas house and found the blessing over one of our doors! From 1999! So cool!
ReplyDeleteLove that door!! And the room looks great- so much natural light, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the aqua door! what a great choice!
ReplyDeleteThat room looks like it's ready to get to work! Love the door. Good job!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so great! I wish my laundry room was that bright and cheerful! :) Maybe it would help if it wasn't in the basement...
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm missing something. What is the algebra-looking code on your door? Love love love the colors. So fun. You are my hero when it comes to house-doing and ohmygoshidon'tknowthefirstthingaboutwhatproducttgoesonwhatproblem. Can I rack your brain when it comes time? (P.s. It really is rack and not wrack. I just had to check, because nerd.)
ReplyDeleteI like it very much! The color and the trim are great and I love the windows and that door! In my entryway I needed coat space so I bought an 8 ft pine board (super cheap) painted it matte black and put 12 large white screw hooks into it, (rubberized so I can hang wet things without rust forming). It cost less than $15 and looks really nice, something like that would be good in there.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! Yay for this!
ReplyDeleteI have laundry room envy right now. Thank you for the link to the light. I work in an interior office and my workspace is under a set of shelves that creates a dark spot. worst of all I have used all of the electrical outlets so no room for a desk lamp.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this!! What a difference! So bright and finished looking. So happy for you and your family in this great house. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colour of the door, the ceiling and the cabinets above the washer/dryer. How was it that there weren't any before? Seems like such an obvious need right by the washer/dryer! Great job with the cheery colours!
ReplyDeleteHere's the Ephiphany Blessing that's on the door:
