Whose idea was it to stop all other projects and plans and reading and writing and eating and paint the den/playroom? Didn't she stop to realize that those rooms comprise more than 25% of the entire house? Whoever she is, she obviously failed to realize that there are four children who live here too. Or she's a glutton for punishment. Probably both. Coming up on 48 hours and just barely halfway finished.
I think I can. I think I can. I think I can....

what y'all have done so far looks great!
ReplyDeleteRemind me to tell you the story of when DH went on a business trip to Singapore for 9 days last Sept., and I decided to surprise him with a complete bedroom makeover! This is what it looked like: Me (sole adult!), 6 kids (9 1/2 mos-15 yrs), paint everywhere, trip to Ikea to buy new bed, furniture dumped in every room in house, baby in backpack on MY back while I'm on ladder painted the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteResults? Room looks better, dh very surprised, only 3 kids still not talking to me, everyone alive.
Go dweej! You'll be so happy that you did it!
ReplyDeleteMust be a renovation weekend! Our toilet broke and hubby decided it was time to demo the entire bathroom! Don't get me wrong...I am thrilled beyond measure because this bathroom has needed a complete overhaul ever since we purchased the home 3 years ago! Good luck with the painting! Looks great so far. And remember to just keep swimming! :-)
ReplyDeleteHang in there girl. I know what it is like. We decided to renovate our foyer, 1/2 bath, and kitchen. We are going on a month without a kitchen sink or countertop. We have 4-5 of our young kids around her all of the time. ERRR.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Hahaha! We'll also need some after pictures!

ReplyDeleteNo way. I just finished my weekend painting project as well! I'm sore, and slightly seafoam-colored...
ReplyDeleteIt does look really nice! What color is that?
ReplyDeleteAnd is there a better way to keep ALL the children occupied in one place?
GO TEAM, RAH!
ReplyDeleteDweej, I bet your arms are tired. I want to see pictures of babies covered in paint :)
ReplyDeleteFour kids and still not finished? I thought that's why we had kids in the first place. I'm counting down the days until I can delegate emptying the dishwasher to my daughter. I keep trying to give it to my husband, but he's not cooperating.
ReplyDelete:-)
It's looking good, Dweej!
ReplyDeleteI know you can.....
Oh, wow! Good luck with all that painting! Can't wait to see pictures!
ReplyDeleteAFTER pictures please!
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! You're a painting MACHINE!
ReplyDeleteYou can! Can't wait to see the after pic!
