I know! So exciting. Wait 'til you see the other side. It's unreal.
Speaking of exciting: the winner of that special jar of black raspberry jam has been chosen!
A big congratulations to Steph from Baca Ohana. You guys, her chubby baby is so stinkin' precious you will melt inside when you see pictures of her. And Steph is hilarious. All good things. So yippppeeeee!
Yay for happy Mondays!
What a transformation! The room is gorgeous, bright and airy. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIs that your husband Tommy, exhausted on the floor?!
ReplyDeleteGor-gee-o-so!!!!
ReplyDeletelooks great! so much brighter:)
ReplyDeleteWow! Red carpet and wood paneling in the before?! You had your work cut out for you. It looks great. So much brighter. Can't wait to see the finished room!
ReplyDeleteSo much better!!! You might've talked about this and I missed it, but did you fill in the paneling grooves or anything?
ReplyDeleteWow, it is so bright now. I love the dog in the picture helping your husband stay grounded :)
ReplyDelete@Alison: Thank you, sweetie! I swear I'll stop talking about this eventually ;)
ReplyDelete@Allison: Pffffffffffft! That is my husband, but he is NOT exhausted. He has not even touched a brush or roller this whole project. I told him he needed to work, and he was happy to comply ;)
@MK: I am lovin' it too!
@Brendy: Thanks!
@Amber: That red carpet...oh my. That was the WORST. We changed that the first week here. The stench was just too much to bare!
@Kassi: We had to paint the grooves first individually, then go back over and roll the flat surfaces :)
@Stasha: She is such a funny little pup. Love her!
Wow, it looks great, and so much bigger! Nicely done :) Even if the dog has taken over your husband!
ReplyDeleteThe before and afters are incredible and I WON I WON I WON I WON!!! Now chubbers and I can eat jam for breakfast lunch and dinner!!!! Thank you sooooo much!

Looks great! Why did anyone ever think dark paneling was a good idea? I would also make fun of the red carpet, but I had wall to wall red carpeting in my dorm room my freshman year....my roommates dad was a contractor and had scrap carpeting lying around....it was the COOLEST carpet. But, a dorm room and a livingroom/den in a home is another:) BTW-I have the same vaccuum!
ReplyDeletewow, what an amazing transformation, dwija! painting was definitely a good choice.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That looks wonderful! I LOVE the way paneling looks when it's painted white.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Dweej! All the hard work is paying off in a big way, the room is completely transformed!
ReplyDeleteImpressive!!! You guys did great!!

It looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the difference! You guys are gooood. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation!! Your hard work is paying off :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a little paint and a lot of work won't do. Looks fab. Your before photos reminded me of our house, when we moved here in 1984. Nearly every room sported dark, paneling. We replaced all of it with sheetrock, ripped out carpet, etc., and now we're to the point where we're starting all over. See what you have to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteAmazing, Dweej! I mean, seriously, it looks AWESOME. My parent's house has dark paneling, and they painted it as well, and it really does make an incredible difference. Good for y'all!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous!!! You had a vision and it made it to real life! Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't even look like the same room! Isn't it amazing what paint can do?! :) Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteNeed moar before and after!
