The Halloween Edition {p.h.f.r.}

{pretty}
The evening sky to the west from our backyard...

{happy}
Happy Halloween from La Casa Borobia!
Lizzy as Nyx (homeschooler alert)
Katy as Mad Scientist (not a wig. Homeschooler alert part 2)
Ceci as generic princess (scrounged up from dress-up bin. Homsechooler alert part 3)
Paul as Teen Wolf (awesome mask courtesy of Halloween auction for Save the Redhead)
Mary as fluffy tiger (enthused)

 {funny}
I'm willing to bet Tommy was rockin' the most last-minutest of costumes ever.  Voila!

 {real}
Boy wearing big sister's riding helmet, still in pajamas, coloring at table covered in junk, sitting at a chair covered in paint splatters.  This is my real life, friends.

  1. Love the teen wolf.
    That's a pretty sweet real life.

  2. I love all the costumes!!! The Mad Scientist really did a great job with her hair! And your hubby's costume - best improvised costume I've ever seen! :-)

  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one who dove into the dress-up box at the last minute to get something candy worthy thrown together!

  6. Lizzy is looking so much like her mama in that picture! I think it's that demure smile.

  7. Hi, lurker here, but I had to comment. We were on the road on Halloween, but the kids (3,7,& 9) really wanted to Trick-or-Treat. We pulled over in a random town, and the kids went door-to-door, with crowds of other kids, with wooden swords and plastic grocery bags - the kids "happened" to have homemade swords in the car (homeschooler alert). For the couple of people that asked, my son told them they were "The Three Musketeers." Costumes may are fun, but may be over-rated!

    I'm impressed you got costumes together!

  8. Dwija - well, I see nothing wrong with Paul wearing a helmet to color in - you never know when you might come under attack, need to jump on a bike and take off, a crazy marker might attack, really the list could go on and on - I think he's just being prepared! - thanks for the great pics, jen
